The Elder was a minor character in Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning. She was an old Native American woman who told Ginger and Brigitte a prophecy warning them to "kill the boy, or one sister kills the other". Later on in the story, with the help of Hunter, she performs a magical ritual which allows Brigitte to see her and Ginger's fate. However, while Brigitte is unconscious, Ginger goes berserk and kills The Elder.
In their first encounter in the abandoned village, she gives the Fitzgerald sisters their bird necklaces.
