Principal shooting for all three films took place in Canada. The list below shows where specific scenes from each film were filmed
Ginger Snaps[]
Principal location shooting took place outside of Toronto, Canada, in the cities of Scarborough, Mississauga, Etobicoke and Brampton. Most interior shooting took place on specifically built sets in a film studio.
Bailey Downs High School[]
Exterior shooting was done at a school in Etobicoke.
See also: Bailey Downs High School for an overview of exterior and interior shots.
Scarlett Heights Entrepreneurial Academy in the Etobicoke district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada served as the shooting location for exterior shots of Bailey Downs High School in Ginger Snaps. The brick-clad building on the northern parking lot is a convenience store/gas station. According to director John Fawcett, this school was the only one they found that would allow them to film on their property.
Interior scenes were shot in a studio. This interior set was only available for a week. Scenes shot there were among the first that were filmed for the movie.
Fitzgerald House[]
A private home in Brampton served as exterior for the Fitzgerald house. The adjacent neighborhood was also filmed.
See also: The Fitzgerald Residence for an overview of exterior and interior shots.
A private home in Brampton, Ontario served as location for all exterior shots of the family home, as well as the photo series of the Fitzgerald sisters. Most interior shots were done on dedicated sets in a studio with the exception of scenes in the garage and the upper floor bedroom.
Neighborhood Park[]

Scenes at the park were filmed at Silver Fox Forest Park[1] in Mississauga, Ontario. The pedestrian path where the sisters walk before entering the playground as well as the forest are also directly adjacent to this location. This place is actually several miles away from the filming location for the Fitzgerald family's neighbourhood. In the movie, the park is withing walking distance from their home.
A shop was redecorated to serve as drug store.
Drug Store[]
The exact shooting location for the drug store is not known, but the scenes were shot at a redecorated real store, which could have been anywhere. "Local gas station" is often used to refer to the filming location.
County Greenhouse[]
This shot was actually done at night.

An old greenhouse served as location for the scenes in the County Greenhouse. Some scenes that were supposed to take place at daylight were shot at night. For these shots the entire greenhouse was covered in translucent tarps which were then lit from behind to create a difuse bright lighting.[2]
Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed[]
Principal location shooting took place at and around Edmonton, Alberta. According to the director's commentaries the main reason for shooting in Edmonton was easy access to numerous locations which could be used with little to no set dressing.
Happier Times Care Center[]
Exterior shots that portray the Happier Times Care Center were done at Building 1 of the Alberta Hospital Edmonton in Edmonton, Alberta. Interior scenes showing the dilapidated drug clinic in the movie were shot at an old now demolished building belonging to St. Andrews Centre in Edmonton, close to Charles Camsell hospital.
Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning[]
Principal location shooting took place at and around Edmonton, Alberta.
Fort Bailey[]
The shooting location for Fort Bailey was a replica of the historic Fort Edmonton, known as "1846 Fort" in the living history museum Fort Edmonton Park in Edmonton, Alberta.
