Ginger Snaps Wiki

The van of the Fitzgerald family is a third generation Dodge Grand Caravan that is mostly driven by Pamela Fitzgerald, who uses it for shopping trips to the local supermarket or craft store. The van is mostly seen standing in the driveway or garage of the family home.

The car has a dark color that appears dark blue or dark green depending on the lighting conditions. The seats and interior are grey.

In the movie[]

We first see the van in the Fitzgerald sisters' slide show. On one of the staged photos, Ginger lies dead behind the left rear wheel. We see the car again on the driveway in front of the garage when the sisters return home on the day of the presentation. Pamela just returned home after buying flowers, among other things.

The next time the car appears is right after Trina Sinclair had her deadly accident in the kitchen. Pamela and Henry Fitzgerald return from the supermarket and are shown backing into the garage.

On Halloween, after having discovered Trina's corpse in the backyard tool shed, Pamela is driving around in the van looking for her daughters. She finds Brigitte who was on the way to the Halloween party and pulls over to pick her up. She reveals to her daughter that she found Trina's fingers which she brought along in a tupperware container and asks her for Ginger's whereabouts. Together they drive to the County Greenhouse. When they arrive, Pam tells Brigitte about her plan to abandon their dad, blow up the house and run away with her and Ginger. Brigitte then leaves to fetch her sister.

Notes[]

This van is the only car of the Fitzgerald family we get to see but it's implied that there might be another car. In the bathroom scene before Trina comes to the Fitzgerald house, Pamela mentions that Henry is stranded at the supermarket due to a dead battery and asks Ginger if she joins her on the ride to pick him up. Implying the existence of a second car that is either at the supermarket with a dead battery or used by Pamela to drive to Henry. In a deleted scene, on Halloween, Henry tells Pamela that he wants to visit a poker tournament. He might go there with the unseen second car.
